MLB Playoffs Atlanta Braves vs. L.A. Dodgers, 9:37p.m. (TBS)
Carl Crawford earned himself a web gem (and likely a thigh bruise) by going into the crowd to catch a foul ball in the 8th inning last night. Of course, such defensive efforts won't be necessary if the Dodgers' bats pop to the tune of another baker's dozen of runs.
Oakland Athletics vs. Detroit Tigers, 1:07p.m. (MLB Network)
St. Louis Cardinals vs. Pittsburgh Pirates, 3:07p.m. (TBS)
Last week Ted Berg of FTW channeled his inner BuzzFeed and put together the 17 most awesome things about the Pirates. By far the best is the entrance video for pitcher Jason Grilli, which exclaims "It's Grilled Cheese Time!" and shows him solemnly making a grilled cheese sandwich between strikeout clips. It's strange and beautiful.
Boston Red Sox vs. Tampa Bay Rays, 6:07p.m. (TBS)
Monday Night Football: New York Jets vs. Atlanta Falcons, 8:25p.m. (ESPN)
Jets wideout Santonio Holmes had some dubious timing in calling out rookie QB Geno Smith. "I can't throw the ball to myself," Holmes told reporters on Thursday. A bold statement for someone who's going to spend the game on the sidelines with an injury. Holmes should also check his facts—there is a precedent for throwing the ball to yourself.
