Last month, a Wayne Gretzky statue went up in the Great One's hometown of Brantford, Ontario, and it didn't take long for sleuthing 12-year-old Joel Englund to spot numerous factual inaccuracies and absurdities. As you'll see below, the misspelled "Gretzsky" was purported to play on the Stanley Cup champion Red Wings (whom he never played for). The 2002-2003 Oilers also didn't hoist the Cup, and had no players named Oscar Wilde, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Robert Frost, Oprah Winfrey, or Rocky Balboa.

The statue's artist says that the names will be unreadable by next week.
