Being stranded on the side of the road happens to everyone, even Olympians. The U.S. women's soccer team's bus broke down Saturday on the way back to their hotel. The team had just finished practicing at the Citrus Bowl in Orlando FL. Thankfully, fans came to the rescue.

The hitchhiking was well-documented. Hope Solo and Sydney Leroux both tweeted out pics riding around with their fans. I'm assuming the fan fare was free.

Without the fans, who knows what would have happened on Sunday when the U.S. played Brazil. America came out on top, 4-1, with two goals from Leroux and another from Abby Wamback. Screen Shot 2013-11-11 at 3.09.52 PM
