His Airness Plays Beer Pong

jordan-600

Perhaps he was too busy twirling umbrellas and playing Miss Pac Man to truly enjoy his college days but 50-year-old Michael Jordan appears to have found the fountain of youth after being photographed playing beer pong in Miami. In a strange coincidence, as I searched through Jordan's famous North Carolina photo shoot, I realized the photos were shot exactly 30 years ago today.

Today's Jersey Mishap

Pelicans center Luis Amundson played last night's game with no name on the back of his jersey after being signed by the team earlier in the day. And since we led with Jordan, this seems like an ideal time to remind everyone that MJ wore No. 12 for one game in 1990 when someone stole the No. 23 jersey from his locker.

Today's A-Rod Mishap

Alex Rodriguez used the bathroom of a Miami hotel for some alone time with a mystery brunette. I can see why he got sick of Torrie Wilson.

Lovely Lady Of The Day

For Vanessa Sarae, it's all about love and good times, at least according to her Instagram profile. Follow her for more pics.

Larry Sanders = Bad Person

The Milwaukee-Journal Sentinel reports that the Bucks center was cited twice last January for leaving his two German shepherd puppies in the cold for hours without proper shelter, food or water.

Beer vs. Bacon

Days after Kansas State gave free bacon to fans at a women's basketball game, Louisville coach Jeff Walz offered to buy beers for the first 2,500 fans who attend the Cardinal women's game against LSU on Thursday.

Today in Athlete Mansions

Evander Holyfield is selling his 48,000 square foot Atlanta mansion. It just so happens that SI sent a photographer to the same mansion in 1997 for a feature on Holyfield and came back with these photos. And if you want to see even more athlete mansions, here's an entire gallery of them.

Odds and Ends

Jacksonville will soon be home to the world's largest scoreboard ...  Rajon Rondo talks about fashion and style for NBA's new Off the Court website ... A broken elevator forced Sabres play-by-play announcer Rick Jeanneret to broadcast the first period of last night's game between the benches ... Will Mariano Rivera get his own street in New York City?

Jerry Seinfeld, Louis CK Discuss Gettysburg Address

The Gettysburg Address turns 150 and documentarian Ken Burns is trying to get everyone in America to record themselves reading or reciting the speech.

Dunk of the Night

Lakers guard Xavier Henry flushes home a slam over former college teammate Jeff Withey.

Fan of the Night

A Michigan State fan grooves to Usher after the Spartans win last night.

Top 50 Sports Movies

Guyism has ranked the 50 greatest sports movies ever and despite ranking Goon ahead of Rocky IV, it's a pretty solid list. Since I mentioned Rocky IV, here's highlights of the movie's epic final fight between Rocky Balboa and Ivan Drago.
