Northern Illinois quarterback Jordan Lynch combined for 468 yards of offense (345 passing, 123 rushing) and four touchdowns as the Huskies defeated Ball State 48-27. But the real MVP of the game was NIU's mascot Diesel, who gave this awesome high five to a cheerleader during the game. Perhaps someone can set up a date between Diesel and Polo, the therapy dog who was parked behind the Knicks bench (wearing a jersey) during last night's game against the Hawks.
Karl Malone, who dresses rather oddly to stay warm, was a guest yesterday on Utah's 1280 The Zone. There, he responded to Isiah Thomas calling him "the weak link" on the late '90s Jazz teams. The Mailman said of the former Pistons guard, "I’m not even gonna stoop to those levels ... Hopefully he’s enjoying his retirement life, or lack thereof ... Who knows. Happy Thanksgiving to the fella."
Wizards center Nene had some harsh words for his younger teammates, alerting them of the need to "take their heads out their butts and play the right way." Not to be outdone, Clippers forward Matt Barnes was also frustrated at his teammates because he keeps getting fined trying to stick up for them. But he earned style points after getting ejected for fighting just before halftime when he grabbed his son and took him with him to the locker room.
