The bad news: Yao Ming's game did not age like a fine wine, as he played his last NBA game at age 30. The good news: his fine wine ages like fine wine.

Famed wine critic Robert Parker gave Yao Family Wines, Yao's post-retirement hobby/career, high praise in the October edition of The Wine Advocate.

Writes Parker about the 2010 Yao Ming Family Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon: “Full-bodied and impeccably made with beautiful texture, length and richness, it can be drunk now, but will stand the test of time for 15 or more years.
Too bad Yao's basketball career couldn't do the same.
