Bob Costas's Son Jokes about Cause of Father's Eye Woes

Bob Costas remains sidelined from NBC's primetime Olympics coverage due to his apparent battle with conjunctivitis in both eyes (if it's not a nasty hungover). But his son Keith, a producer for MLB Network, has offered an entirely different explanation.

According to Keith, the elder Costas is still reeling from a verbal spat with MLB reporter Ken Rosenthal, which led to sleepless nights, crying, and -- eventually -- a red residue. For further updates and theories about the inflammation of Bob Costas' unsightly goggles, please follow one of the many "Bob Costas Eyes" parody accounts on Twitter (no, don't do that).
