It was 54 degrees at the Olympic cross-country venue today, practically a heat wave by Winter Olympic standards, causing Norwegian racer Chris Jepersen to get creative with his wardrobe.

Jepersen traded his normally modest cross-country skiing get-up for a short sleeves, and took it a step further by converting his ski pants into cut-off shorts.

The unconventional wardrobe may not have worked, as the 30-year-old Jepersen, who is ranked second in the World Cup, came in 6th in the event.
