HBO Orders 'Ballers' Starring The Rock as a Washed Up Running Back

Former Miami Hurricanes defensive tackle Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson will go back to his roots for the HBO drama-comedy Ballers, in which he will play a retired All-Pro running back (first name Spencer). Among others, Mark Wahlberg is co-executive producing.

The cast will also include comedian Rob Corddry as Rock's socially inept financial advisor, as well as "a highly spiritual pro athlete, financial adviser, ESPN sideline reporter, and ex-wife of a pro football player."

Basically it sounds a lot like HBO put its previous hits Ari$$, Entourage and Eastbound and Down into a blender. And I will totally watch at least a couple episodes of that.
