Monday's A.M. Hot Clicks
The East disposed of the West by a 732-691 margin Sunday night in a record-breaking All-Star contest that featured less defensive intensity than the Pro Bowl. The East actually prevailed 163-155 (the most points ever in an ASG) after falling behind 18 points in the second half. MVP Kyrie Irving netted 31 and Carmelo Anthony, who smiled for the first time since October, added 30, including a record eight 3-pointers. How little defense was played? There were zero (0) blocks in the game for the first time since the NBA started counting blocks.
Highlights included: Pregame performer Pharrell's humongous hats and his entire performance with Snoop, Nelly, Busta Rhymes and Diddy... That's not hyperbole, and it was actually a fan who sunk the miracle shot during a contest. It went down at West Chester University, where the student needed to hit a layup, free throw, three pointer, and half court shot in only 25 seconds. I'll let SB Nation give you the bad news but hit it here for another atypical, incredible fan contest with a happy ending.
