WrestleMania Has Arrived

It's Super Bowl weekend for pro wrestling fans as WrestleMania 30 takes place on Sunday in New Orleans. I spoke with WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley earlier this week and conducted a roundtable with pro wrestling experts Brandon Stroud, Rick Scaia and Sean Grande about Sunday's card. Also of note, The Camel Clutch Blog has 30 WrestleMania backstage stories and urban legends. Meanwhile, veteran broadcaster Jim Ross offered a thorough and exhaustive history of the event. For those who just like photos, SI has a look at the previous 29 WrestleManias.

When Motivational Tactics Don't Work

In 1998, then-Virginia Tech director of football operations John Ballein had a trophy case added to the hall of memorabilia for its national championship hardware. Sixteen years (and zero championships) later, the school finally decided to remove the empty trophy case and replace it with a giant Hokie bird.

My Favorite WrestleMania Memory

This happened 26 years ago, which makes me feel really old.
