Somebody at ESPN made a formula that gave us a 0.2% chance of making playoffs in mid-December. Would hate to be that guy.

The Memphis Grizzlies clinched the final playoff spot in the NBA playoffs last night with their win over the Phoenix Suns.
The Grizzlies’ VP of Basketball Operations, John Hollinger, immediately took to Twitter to call out ESPN’s Playoff Odds Stat, which gave the Grizzlies a 0.2% chance to make the playoffs just four months ago, when the Grizzlies were 15-19 and had lost star Marc Gasol to a knee injury.
The joke here being of course that the stat was created by…John Hollinger.
