Toronto Sun Trolls Brooklyn Nets With 'Dinosaurs' Headline

It appears Toronto is attempting to raise the stakes in their opening round playoff series against the Brooklyn Nets.

First, the Toronto Sun printed a headline this morning insinuating that the Nets are filled with old players. Then, during a pre-game rally in Toronto, Raptors GM Masai Ujiri cursed the city his team was about to play.

Funny enough, the Nets probably shouldn't have been playing the Raptors to begin with. The team was accused of attempting to lose games on purpose during the final days of the regular season in hopes of falling to the sixth seed. Why would they do such a thing? Well, had Brooklyn ended up with the fifth seed they would have found themselves matched up against the Chicago Bulls, a team that manhandled the Nets all season. By avoiding the Bulls, the Nets were given the Raptors, who they split their season series with.

Here's hoping the New York Post and Billy King have something to match all that Toronto trash talk for Game 2.
