The Daily News Responds to Toronto's Brooklyn Nets' Insult in Typical New York Fashion

We knew this was coming. Yesterday, Toronto Raptors' GM Masai Ujiri yelled "F**k Brooklyn!" prior to a Game One matchup against the Brooklyn Nets. Never one to pass up an insult, the New York Daily News decided to respond with a four-letter greeting of its own.

The joke is a reference to both Ujiri's comments and a headline in Saturday's Toronto Sun, which referred to the Nets as a bunch of "dinosaurs." The joke was on them, though, as Brooklyn ended up beating Toronto 94-87 to take a 1-0 lead in the series. Game Two isn't until Tuesday, so both cities still have a couple of days to throw more insults at each other. Who would have thought the first round matchup between the Raptors and Nets was going to spawn a newspaper rivalry?
