Watch: PGA Golfer Uses Rake to Remove Alligator Hazard

Golfer John Peterson knew he'd be dealing with some gnarly hazards in Louisiana's Zurich Classic. But he probably wasn't expecting it to come in the form of a deadly reptile.

During Friday's second round at TPC Louisiana, Peterson made his way to a previously hit shot that found itself sandwiched between a water hazard and an alligator.

Luckily, Peterson -- a former LSU graduate and possibly accustomed to dealing with murky water serpents -- eventually took matters into his own hands, pushing the animal away with a sand rake.

Sadly, gator control was about the only highlight of the day for Peterson who ended up missing the cut just hours later.
