Before Erik Spoelstra became one of the best young coaches in the NBA, he was just a young boy aspiring to play in the NBA. And in 1980, Jack Ramsay was one of the league's top coaches, having won the 1977 title with the Trail Blazers.

Spoelstra attended Dr. Ramsay's basketball camp that year at age 10, and the two reportedly remained friends until present day.

According to Bleacher Report, Spoelstra's Heat even ran a play called "Ramsay" in the fourth quarter of Game 7 of last year's Finals.
