Lots of Celebrities Want to Buy the Clippers, Here are the Pros and Cons of Each of Them Becoming the Owner

Now that Donald Sterling has been ousted, multiple celebrities have stepped forward to announce their interest in the team. Before allowing the team to fall into the hands of another bad owner, we wanted to make sure we did our research. Here is a list of some of the celebrities currently in the running to buy the Clippers, with some pros and cons about each of them.

Frankie Muniz

Houston Rockets v Los Angeles Clippers

Muniz announced in a really, really long Facebook post last night that he's interested in buying the Clippers (though he definitely doesn't have the money to do so).

PROS: He said a lot of really nice things in that Facebook post. He also won the Jovy Marcelo Award for sportsmanship, so he'll keep the team honest.

CONS: Somehow has a less stable family situation than Donald Sterling.

PROS:  No one is cooler than Puff DaddyP.Diddy Puff Daddy.

CONS: When attempting to buy a sports team, it's probably best not to preface your intentions by stating that you are not a fan of said team. But beyond that, the franchise would quickly lose its identity after changing its name every two months.

Magic Johnson

Los Angeles Sparks Press Conference

Despite being a long-time Lakers supporter, sources close to Magic Johnson say that he would be interested in buying the Clippers.

PROS: He's an NBA legend, has plenty of business experience (he's already a part-owner of the Dodgers) and his purchase of the team would serve as a poetic conclusion to this situation, which he was indirectly a part of.

CONS: He's only appeared in two episodes of Malcolm in the Middle. Frankie Muniz was in like, all of them.

Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Celebrities At The Los Angeles Clippers Game

Floyd Mayweather also announced yesterday that he would like to put together a group to buy the Clippers.

PROS: A known sports fan, Mayweather would immediately supplant Mark Cuban as the league's most flamboyant team owner. His appearance at games would be an attraction within itself.

CONS: Beyond his checkered history with the law and his notorious gambling streak, Floyd is close friends with Justin Bieber, which is irrefutable proof of his poor judgement.
