Canadian Youth Baseball Coach Bans Player… for Having Long Hair

Canadian youth baseball coaches apparently don't kid around.

This Alberta community coach is caught on camera channeling his inner George Steinbrenner during an epic and rather awkward exchange with a mother to explain why exactly he's banning her teenage son from playing on his youth baseball squad.

The Pincher Creek Junior Dust Devils, may be okay with long team names, but that's about it. 16-year-old Liam Nazarek was told he would not be allowed to play in the team's home opener because of his long hair -- hair that the kid is simply growing to donate in the name of cancer charity. The ruling by the team's coach, Bryan Mackenzie, set off a heated battle of words that you can watch below. The league has stood by the coach in the matter, saying that its growing notoriety was caused by "inappropriate use of social media."
