Rough Night for Doc

doc-rivers

I don't know where Doc Rivers is at this very second, but I am confident that he's still fuming over last night's game. The Clippers blew a seven-point lead with 50 seconds to play, including a controversial out-of-bounds call in the closing seconds, and fell to the Thunder 105-104. Oklahoma City now leads the series 3-2. As expected, Twitter was buzzing after the game. Meanwhile in Indianapolis, the Pacers had no answers for Marcin "The BBQ Pierogi" Gortat as the Wizards rolled to a 102-79 victory and cut the series deficit to 3-2.

The NCAA is the Worst

Boise State football player Antoine Turner is currently homeless and living on the street, but the school and its boosters can't provide an ounce of help until June 6, when summer school officially starts.

Are My Bosses Reading This?

Bubba Watson visited Ping's Phoenix headquarters on Tuesday and bought Chipotle for the company's 900 employees. As luck would have it, there is a Chipotle just two blocks from the SI office in midtown Manhattan (hint, hint).

Minnesota native Megan Retzlaff has been a devoted hockey fan these playoffs and attended last night's Wild-Blackhawks game. Seeing that her hometown Wild lost, it's only fair to make her today's LLOD.

BREAKING NEWS (12:02 pm): Megan just emailed me some new photos of herself, many of which have never been seen. I've added them to the gallery above.

Hope Solo vs. Portland Fans

The controversial goalie went off on Portland Thorns fans and the team's owner after a heated game last weekend.

Charles Barkley vs. San Antonio Women

Charles Barkley's comment that San Antonio was a gold mine for Weight Watchers because the women are so huge didn't go over too well in San Antonio, leading one local artist to create this great mural poking fun at Sir Charles. And if that's not enough, a restaurant created the "Charles Barkley Fat Mexican Burger,"complete with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, cheese, rice, beans, a chalupa and two cheese enchiladas.

The cast of White Men Can't Jump pose with legendary SI photographer Neil Leifer during the filming of the movie. Wesley Snipes was interviewed by British film mag Total Film and said that he’s open to reprising his role of Sydney Deane in a sequel. Now he just has to convince Woody Harrelson. For more classic sports photos, visit the SI Vault on Twitter and here's a gallery of Leifer's best photos from the sports year that was 1964 -- 50 years ago.

Odds and Ends

A's reliever Sean Doolittle got really caught up in George Michael's Careless Whisperlast night. The cheesy/awesome sing  is the walk-up music of teammate Josh Reddick ... Eight thousand of Mike Trout's hometown admirers were in attendance last night when the Angels played the Phillies. Trout is from nearby Millville, N.J. ... LeBron James might boycott next season if Donald Sterling is still the Clippers owner ... Stay away from the Shake Shack at Citi Field ... Austin Jackson had a priceless reaction to teammate Miguel Cabrera's home run last night ... New sport alert: pogo stick parkour ... Why Frasier doesn't get as much social media love as Friends and Mean Girls ... Will Mulaney be the new Seinfeld?

This made me laugh.

The Best of Stan Van Gundy

The Pistons and Stan Van Gundy have reportedly agreed on a five-year, $35 million contract that will make Van Gundy coach and president of basketball operations. I'm a huge SVG fan. Watch this video and you may become one, too.
