Dale Earnhardt Jr. got a surprise assist in his second NASCAR win of 2014: a greasy food wrapper.

Brad Keselowski led for more than half of the Pocono 400 on Sunday until a hot dog wrapper made its way onto his car's grille, causing the engine to overheat and allowing Earnhardt Jr. to take the lead. Keselowski ended up finishing second.

"It's unfortunate for him," Earnhardt said in Victory Lane. "He had me beat. I couldn't get to him. But I've lost some in some strange ways so it feels good to win one like that."

Keselowski certainly can't blame Earnhardt Jr. for capitalizing on an opportunity, but he can blame the jerk who decided not to throw out his trash.
