Game of Thrones Author George R.R. Martin Throws Out First Pitch At Minor League Baseball Game, No Major Characters Died

While the rest of America was mentally preparing for whatever beloved, or reviled, characters might die on Game of Thrones' Sunday night finale, series author George R. R. Martin spent a leisurely afternoon at the ballpark, throwing out the first pitch at the Albuquerque Isotopes game on Saturday.

The camera angle does not show where Martin's pitch ends up but if the books and television show are any indication, it probably hit a bat rack leading to several people being gruesomely impaled.
