Reds' Johnny Cueto Needs To Practice Breaking Bats Over His Knee

[mlbvideo id="33819199" width="600" height="338" /]

Cincinnati Reds pitcher Johnny Cueto struck out against the Pittsburgh Pirates on Tuesday night, and he tried to show off by breaking a bat over his knee. Unfortunately, Cueto is not practiced in the fine art of smashing lumber, and he likely left his knee with more damage than the bat.

The real head-scratcher here is why a pitcher would ever be this upset at striking out. Cueto has struck out 102 times in 376 career plate appearances. He has over three times as many strikeouts as hits. Why is it suddenly infuriating to him in the fourth inning of a game in June?
