40-year old mother of 2 joins the New Orleans Saints cheerleading squad

A 40-year old dance instructor and mother of two has earned a spot on this season's New Orleans Saints cheerleading squad.

Kriste Lewis said she tried out for the team for fun but it turned into a new job when she nailed her audition.

“I thought it would be epic; then I made the team.”

Lewis was motivated to try out by her hereditary kidney condition that will eventually require an organ transplant and dialysis.

The newest member of the "Saintsations" is one of just two NFL cheerleaders 40 or older, the other being 45-year old Laura Vikmanis of the Cincinnati Bengals.
