Kobe Bryant bothers Oprah, Nike and Apple execs for business advice

Kobe Bryant has been vocal about his desire to become a success in the business world when he is done playing basketball, and he is not afraid to use all the access that comes with being one of the planet's most famous athletes to get a leg up.

The 35-year old recently told Bloomberg Television that he frequently cold calls business luminaries like Oprah Winfrey, Nike CEO Mark Parker, and Apple chief design officer Jony Ive looking for business advice.

“I want to learn more about how they build their business or how they run their companies... I spent the day [at Apple headquarters], talking with Jony and picking his brain about product,” Bryant said. “I’m very, very curious about that and understanding that.”

I suppose getting harassed by an NBA legend is a small price to pay for being a billionaire.

Bryant recently invested in the sports drink company Body Armor, as the first step in the Kobe Bryant Empire.
