Falcons' Roddy White makes good on Duke-Mercer Twitter bet

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Roddy White has made good on a Twitter bet he accidentally made with a fan on Twitter during the NCAA tournament, providing him with an all-access tour of the team's training camp as well as season tickets and Super Bowl tickets.

Be careful what you say on Twitter.

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Roddy White has made good on a Twitter bet he accidentally made with a fan on Twitter during the NCAA tournament, providing him with an all-access tour of the team's training camp as well as season tickets and Super Bowl tickets.

The whole affair started with a seemingly obvious bit of hyperbole.

The internet decided that White should pay up anyway, and despite his original protests, the All-Pro decided to go above and beyond throwing in the Super Bowl tickets and training camp experience as a bonus.

The fan, Dylan Hoyt, tried to let White out of the bet, but stopped by camp yesterday to meet him and the rest of the team.

“I just thought, why be that fan who just wants to get free stuff? I didn’t want to be that guy. I was cool with nothing. Next thing you know everybody (on Twitter) just jumped on his case."

Who knew being a Mercer fan had so many perks?
