Metta World Peace reportedly changing name to Panda Friend

Metta World Peace is looking to change his name to Panda Friend for his new Chinese team, the Sichuan Blue Whales.

Metta World Peace is looking to change his name in anticipation of his move to the Chinese Basketball Association, and one Chinese newspaper is reporting the man formerly known as Ron Artest will now be called Panda Friend.

So far China Daily is the only source to report the new name, so it may not be real, but Peace did tweet out that he would be adopting a new Chinese name, and has already made plans to visit the adorable endangered animals with his daughter.
