Yankees to Kate Upton: Don't wear Tigers gear to Yankee stadium
When you're a world-famous supermodel, you get to do what you want, when you want. Well, ok, I don't know this for sure, as I am not a world-famous supermodel. But it's probably a safe assumption to make. That said, there are exceptions to the rule, as former SI Swimsuit cover girl Kate Upton recently discovered on a trip to Yankee Stadium.
Last Wednesday, Upton made her way up to the Bronx to see boyfriend Detroit Tiger Justin Verlander pitch. However, before she arrived, the Yankees made a very specific request.
"The Yankees specifically told me 'You're not allowed to wear a Tigers hat. You're not allowed to wear any Tigers gear,'" said Upton, while filling in for Kelly Ripa on Live! with Kelly and Michael. "It's like a bad breakup!"
Man, the Yanks do not mess around. Upton actually grew up a Yankees fan, but confessed that she is now "sleeping with the enemy."
