Derek Jeter has received an impressive assortment of gifts on his farewell tour this season but the best tribute comes courtesy of a farm in New Jersey. VonThun Farms, about an hour's car ride from Yankee Stadium, mowed Jeter's head into five acres of corn with the words "Von Thun Farms Thanks Captain Clutch" along with a plug for a local radio station. The maze will be open to the public starting Sept. 20. In other Jeter news, Rays coach Joe Maddon is angry with fans who came to the Yankees-Rays games at The Trop last weekend and rooted for Jeter.

Eight SI Swimsuit Models To Throw Out First Pitch On Friday

The Brooklyn Cyclones are hosting a Beach Party on Friday and SI Swimsuit models Lily Aldridge, Hannah Davis, Hannah Ferguson, Gigi Hadid, Chanel Iman, Ariel Meredith, Jess Perez and Adaora Akubilo will be on hand to throw out the first pitch, participate in contests with fans and other fun stuff. No word on whether they'll take The Chrissy Teigen Approach to the first pitch.

Notes From the NFL

Lovely Lady of the Day

Give This Bengals Fan Season Tickets

If  Roger Goodell ever decides to award a Facial Hair of the Year Trophy to a fan, this Bengals fan and his tiger-striped beard would be the runaway winner. It is easily the best thing I've seen all week (granted it's currently 7:09 a.m. on a Monday morning). Also of note: This Rams fans has shaved a football into the top of his head and even had the laces colored white.

Speaking of Crazy Hair

What is going on in the back of Jose Reyes' hair?

roberto-clemente-wax

Pirates legend Roberto Clemente would've turned 80 today. The Pirates legend died in a plane crash on Dec. 31, 1972 while delivering aid to earthquake victims in Nicaragua. In this photo, Clemente stands next to a wax figure of himself before a 1970 game against the Astros. For more classic sports photos, visit the SI Vault on Twitter.

Odds & Ends

A chef in Newcastle broke the world record for most consecutive hours cooking ... I'm loving everything about Nerlens Noel and his social media stylings ... Golfer Cameron Tringale forfeited $53,000 in prize money by coming clean to the PGA Rules Committee ... The New York Times Magazine has a great piece on the rise of yoga among professional wrestlers ... Monique Evans, Miss Texas 2014, threw out a first pitch that made 50 Cent look like Clayton Kershaw ... The WWE has a new logo ... Pacers center Ian Mahimi shot two airball free throws during a World Cup exhibition game against The Philippines ...  A gallery of supermodel yearbook photos ... Expendables 3 bombed at the box office and experts are blaming it on piracy ... Tom Hanks inspired a new iPad app that makes your keypad look like a typewriter.

Gigi Hadid Does Ice Bucket Challenge

In case you're still on the fence about whether to attend Friday's Brooklyn Cyclones games, Gigi Hadid will be one of the models in attendance.

DeAndre Ward Gets a Scholarship

After spending his freshman season in 2013 as a walk-on at Mississippi State, defensive back DeAndre Ward receives a scholarship from coach Dan Mullen.

New Mexico Gets a New Weight Room

Wish I could get this excited to work out.

The Best of Dee Reynolds

Kaitlin Olsen of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia turned 39 today and since she is responsible for the funniest female character on TV today, I thought a tribute was in order.
