A Japanese television show put a baseball player in front of a souped-up pitching machine that can fire a ball over the plate at 186 mph and had him try to get a hit.

You will not be surprised to find out that he was not successful. In fact, the pitch goes so fast he cannot even get a swing off, or find contact when he, foolishly, tries to bunt.

The batter also made the strange decision to get in the box without out a helmet, although it probably would not do much good against a ball going that fast anyway.
