It's not every day in life you get second chances. Or second first-pitches. Chicago Bulls star Joakim Noah was given that opportunity Thursday after throwing out a horrendous (first) first-pitch at the hometown White Sox game.
Noah's original first pitch, thrown ahead of the White Sox's 1-0 win over the Oakland Athletics on Thursday, didn't reach the plate, but when given another chance, he didn't waste the opportunity. He threw a rainbow over the heart of the plate.
Here's a GIF of the sequence from MLB.com:
Noah wasn't making an unprecedented request of a do-over, however. Just a few weeks ago at Busch Stadium in St. Louis, sportscaster Bob Costas asked for a mulligan.
