James Dolan wants Amar'e and Melo to help him break a kazoo record
Knicks owner James Dolan's goofy blues band, JD and the Straight Shot, will open for the Eagles (the band, not the football team) on Thursday at the arena Dolan owns, Madison Square Garden. During his set, Dolan will attempt to break the world record for most people playing the kazoo at one time, and he's getting his employees involved.
Dolan is asking Knicks players Carmelo Anthony and Amar'e Stoudemire to come on stage and play the kazoo with him. He's also inviting Henrik Lundqvist, the goalie for the Rangers, who are also owned by (you guessed it) Dolan. Tennis legend John McEnroe, a fixture at events at the Garden, will be there too.
As ridiculous as it sounds, it's all for a good cause. If they end up setting the record, Dolan will donate $100,000 to the ALS Association. Although, Dolan could probably afford to donate the money even if they don't set the record.
