2013 Major League Soccer MVP Mike Magee delivered a blunt message Saturday about the playing surface at Toyota Park where his very own Chicago Fire play.

Magee's teammate Bakary Soumare followed up in prompt agreement.

While Magee is out for the season following surgery, he still paid close attention to a turf issue Saturday that has only grown worse in the past week.

The Fire expected the field conditions to be improved Saturday night following a re-sodding, but patches were discolored and caused footing problems for players on both teams.

Even though Magee won't be scoring any more goals for the Fire this season, he scored quite a zinger on Twitter Saturday.
