The New York Rangers signed goalie Cedrick Desjardins over the summer, and to celebrate his new team, the veteran commissioned a New York-themed helmet, featuring the team's logo along with Derek Jeter and Frank Sinatra.

The new helmet was painted by David Leroux, but it may be a while before it sees any ice time for the Rangers, as Desjardins was waived by the team on Monday and assigned to its minor-league affiliate in the AHL, the Hartford Wolf Pack.

In Goal reports that Desjardins will wear the mask with the Wolfpack, whose logo appears on the mask below Jeter and Sinatra.
