The NHL held a season kick-off event in Toronto for fans in conjunction with the Maple Leafs' opening game against the Montreal Canadiens. It was attended by hockey fans from all walks of life, and also a cat.
It seems one fan decided his/her cat should not have to miss out on the fun, so the cat was put in a Maple Leafs jersey and taken to the party.
Thousands attended the event in Dundas Square in the center of Toronto, with appearances from former players Joe Nieuwendyk, and Wendel Clark, as well as games in which fans could test the speed of their slap shot and their shooting accuracy, according to NHL.com.
