Cardinals manager Mike Matheny is drawing a lot of criticism for his handling of the bullpen in the team's extra inning NLCS loss to the San Francisco Giants Tuesday night, including from the account of reliever Seth Maness, who pitched a 1-2-3 ninth inning before being pulled.
Maness' account retweeted a series of complaints from Bravo's Andy Cohen, according to Cards Conclave, all of them about his being taken out of the game in the 10th in favor of Randy Choate, who put two runners on base and committed a game-ending error on a throw to first.
It turns out the retweets actually came from Maness' girlfriend, Coleman Cox, who later deleted them.
Cox has since deactivated her own account to atone for her Twitter snafu, although her next conversation with Matheny at a team function may be a little awkward.
