A Harding University student took a big bite out of his impending student loan payments when he hit a half-court shot at the school's midnight madness festivities and got his tuition costs cut in half.
The students had gathered together to celebrate the D-II Harding Bisons impending basketball season when David Brooker seized the chance of a lifetime by sinking the half-courter. His shot was made even more difficult by the lights in Rhodes Fieldhouse being turned off, with only spotlighting available.
