Jay-Z signed rocket-armed Red Sox outfielder Yoenis Cespedes to Roc Nation Sports Monday, the agency announced on Twitter.

Roc Nation Sports was launched by the rapper & co. in the spring of 2013. Despite being little over a year old, the agency is growing in influence.

Cespedes became the eleventh athlete to brush the proverbial dirt off of his shoulder and align himself with rap mogul Shawn Carter's burgeoning agency, joining the likes of fellow MLB stars Robinson Cano and C.C. Sabathia, NBA star Kevin Durant and the NFL's Ndamukong Suh, Geno Smith and Victor Cruz.

Roc Nation Sports is looking to purchase other agencies and hire new agents, the company's president Michael Yormark said Monday, putting a special focus on the MLB, NBA and NFL.

Cespedes has 71 home runs and 262 runs batted in in just three MLB seasons. He will be a free agent after the 2015 season and is expected to land a lucrative contract.
