New York athletes gather for Starlight Children's charity

The Starlight Children's Foundation held its 25th annual Celebrity Sports Auction this week, attended by honorees including New York sports legend John Starks and Adam Graves, and current athletes like Andrei Kirilenko and Markel Brown of the Brooklyn Nets and Eric Alexander of the New York Red Bulls.  

The Starlight Children's Foundation held its 25th annual Celebrity Sports Auction at the Times Square Hard Rock Cafe this week, attended by honorees including New York sports legend John Starks and Adam Graves, and current athletes like Andrei Kirilenko and Markel Brown of the Brooklyn Nets, Eric Alexander of the New York Red Bulls, and Vic Black of the New York Mets.

The auction portion of the event included a spot at Michael Jordan's Fantasy Basketball Camp, admission to a Derek Jeter meet & greet, and autographed game worn sneakers from seven-time Grand Slam winner John McEnroe.

Starlight Children's Foundation operates many programs aimed at improving the health and happiness of children including Starbright World, an online community for teens suffering from chronic and life-threatening medical conditions.
