The college basketball season has barely begun and we already have a candidate for play of the year. Michigan was trailing by a point to No. 12 Villanova with 7.8 seconds to play and possession under the Wildcats' basket. Coach John Beilein drew up a play to get Zak Irvin an open dunk for the win. It worked perfectly, except Villanova forward JayVaughn Pinkston had other ideas. Watch the entire play here.

Worst Sports Gifts of 2014

From NASCAR romance novels to a John Cena Nutcracker, here are the worst sports-related gifts of the year (though I need the NHL Goal Line Pizza Cutter).

Love Lessons from Swaggy P

Lakers guard Nick "Swaggy P" Young offered some love advice while filming for Forever 21's latest campaign and admits meeting Iggy Azalea by making her his #WCW (Woman Crush Wednesday) on Twitter. He also offered some great bits of advice on social media ("just say something funny but you can't constantly hit them up on Twitter"), playing it cool  (if you meet a girl you're into, pretend you know her from somewhere) and cooking (tell a girl you don't know how and see if she'll come over to help).

Lovely Lady of the Day

Natasha Oakley of "A Bikini a Day" fame wore this dress to the ModelCo Women Of Influence Event on Monday. She earns today's LLOD honors (click here for full-size gallery).

15 Worst Owners in Sports

I've seen a lot of "worst owners in sports" lists but this version (by Jeb Lund for Rolling Stone) includes some unlikely candidates (David Glass of the Kansas City Royals, the DeVos family of the Orlando Magic) and is worth a few minutes of your time.

Leg Tattoo of the Day

This Almost Makes Up For All Those Commercials

Odds & Ends

Warriors forward Marreese Speights had one of the ugliest half-court shots you'll ever see ... The 10 most one-sided rivalries in college football ... There is only one player who refuses to ask for help while guarding Kobe Bryant ...Nate Robinson was really excited about this Kenneth Faried dunk ... George H.W. Bush and wife Barbara were featured on the Kiss Cam at a Texans game ... Another writer called out ESPN for not giving proper credit on a story ... This Rick Pitino line cracked me up, though I still am anti-Pitino for what he did to Red Auerbach after taking over the Celtics ... A character from the TV show I'm most proud to be a fan of (Sons of Anarchy) will soon star in the TV show I'm least proud to be a fan of (Revenge) ... This artist has some cool ideas for remaking U.S. currency ... I like young Adam Sandler.

Taiwanese Animation Video of the Day

Johnny Manziel is in the news (shocking, I know) after a minor late night scuffle, which made for another great Taiwanese animation video.

The John Calipari Dance

Coach Cal with a unique way of calling for a sub.

Richard Sherman Makes a Point

The Seahawks cornerback is not happy about Marshawn Lynch's $100,000 fine for not cooperating with the media and used a cutout doll to make his point.

Teddy Bear on Treadmill

Munchkin, the dog who dresses up as a teddy bear, works his magic on a treadmill. (H/T BroBible)
