Basketball is obviously a big deal in Kentucky, but who would have thought Bluegrass State residents would use hoops to look for love?

According to data Match.com pulled for Mashable, "basketball" is the most-commonly used term in Kentuckians' online dating profiles, though it isn't clear if it's the work of Wildcats or Cardinals fans. The similarly basketball-crazed state of Indiana prefers the word "NASCAR," despite the fact it's more well-known for IndyCar racing.

Despite its football-crazed reputation, SEC country isn't represented on the map by sports terms. Georgia and Alabama use "grilling" more than any other word, while Mississippi prefers "lookin'."
