Mat Latos was a starting pitcher with the Cincinnati Reds as of Thursday morning, but with baseball's winter meetings underway, that could change at any moment, which was wearing on the nerves of his wife, Dallas.
With Mat involved in few rumors recently, she has been using Twitter to keep track of rumors and to express her nervous anticipation of where the family may be moving.
She has retweeted several reporters rumors about the possibility that her husband could be leaving the Reds rotation soon and then her relief when they are dismissed.
Any trade, Walt said, would need to shed some payroll, so he nixed any idea of a $10 MM player (Leake, Latos) for a $10 MM player (Cespedes)— C. Trent Rosecrans (@ctrent) December 11, 2014
When Jon Heyman confirmed the move to the Marlins things got serious.
(Update: Shortly after this post went up, the Marlins confirmed they had traded for her husband.)
To make things even more stressful for Dallas, the family's hilariously named pet cat, Latos, was lost earlier this week, but luckily was quickly recovered.
