Media misses Jay Cutler's postgame press conference

Jay Cutler had a rough night in the Bears 31-15 loss to the Saints on Monday, and it was followed by what was likely the weirdest press conference of his career.

It seems the media was not ready to head to the conference room following the game when Cutler took the podium, so only one reporter was there to ask him questions, as the others tried to get from the locker room to the press conference, according to Rich Campbell of the Chicago Tribune.

A Bears public relations official informed reporters in the locker room that Cutler was at the podium. The announcement prompted more than a dozen reporters to hurry out of the locker room, with several even jogging to the press conference area, which is about 200 feet away.

ESPN's Mike Sando was the only reporter to ask questions of the quarterback, and when he was finished Cutler wondered if he should wait for the rest.

Considering Cutler threw three interceptions during the game, he was probably not too disappointed that the Q&A session was so sparsely attended.
