Wednesday night was 'Drake Night' at the Air Canada Centre as the Toronto Raptors took on the Brooklyn Nets with Raptors' "global ambassador" Drake sitting courtside.
Before the half, the rapper sat down with broadcasters to talk about his relationship with the team and how he briefly got in hot water with commissioner Adam Silver over some comments he made about Kevin Durant coming to Toronto.
Unfortunately, Drake got his words confused and referred to the commissioner as "Sterling" instead, a fair mistake considering sterling silver is probably an often repeated phrase for a jewelry aficionado like Drizzy.
Still, after the Donald Sterling fiasco last season, it is not great to say "Sterling, that's my boy" in the middle of an NBA broadcast.
