Colin Kaepernick thanks former coach Jim Harbaugh in Instagram post

Colin Kaepernick will be playing for a new head coach next season for the first time in his NFL career. The 49ers and Jim Harbaugh, Kaepernick's coach in each of his four pro seasons, announced Sunday they have "mutually agreed to part ways."

Kaepernick thanked Harbaugh in a heartfelt Instagram post on Monday. "The coach that drafted me, chose to start me, and stood behind me through it all!" Kaepernick wrote. "I will never forget what you have done for me coach thank you for everything!"

It was Harbaugh who decided to draft Kaepernick in the second round out of Nevada in 2011. Harbaugh was also the one who chose to stick with Kaepernick at quarterback, allowing the team to trade incumbent starter Alex Smith.

Hopefully Kaepernick's new coach will have just as much confidence in him, and a little better fashion sense.
