President Barack Obama met with House Speaker John Boehner on Tuesday to discuss areas where they could work together and where they disagreed, and the president sought to find some common ground using the inaugural college football playoff.
Obama to Boehner: "There are going to be some things that we agree on...A college football playoff is clearly something we can agree on."— John Ourand (@Ourand_SBJ) January 13, 2015
Boehner represents Ohio's eighth congressional district and was a part of a bet between the congressman of the Buckeye state and those representing Oregon that the losing side would have to wear ties in the winning teams colors, according to Cleveland.com.
The President went on to congratulate both Ohio State for its victory, and Oregon on an excellent season, reports the Chicago Tribune.
