Report: Missy Elliott to join Katy Perry for Super Bowl halftime show

Katy Perry will reportedly be joined by Missy Elliott at Super Bowl XLIX halftime show.

The Super Bowl halftime show is getting another special guest.

Three weeks after headliner Katy Perry announced that "guitar god" Lenny Kravitz will join her on stage, the Associated Press reports that Grammy award winner Missy Elliott will also make an appearance.

Elliott's hits include the songs "Work It, "The Rain (Supa Dupa Fly)," "Hot Boyz" and "Get Ur Freak On." The 43-year-old was featured on a remix of Perry's 2011 song, "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)."

Last year's halftime show, which was done by Bruno Mars, had a special appearance by the band Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Beyonce's 2013 show was joined by a couple of her former Destiny's Child group mates.

Super Bowl XLIX will be held on Sunday in Glendale, Ariz.
