Cardinals pitcher Adam Wainwright had an injury scare at spring training earlier this week, so he had to head up to St. Louis to see a specialist.

What could have been a scary trip turned into a great 24 hours for Wainwright though, as the doctor told him he had only suffered an abdominal strain, and the owner of his favorite BBQ place smuggled some ribs into the airport for him to enjoy while waiting for his flight back to Florida, according to MLB.com.

The ribs came from Pappy's Smokehouse, whose owner, Mike Emerson, says he had his girlfriend, who is an airport employee, bring in the ribs using her security clearance and surprise Wainwright with them at the gate.
