Comedy Central has announced that Trevor Noah will take over for Jon Stewart as the next host of The Daily Show, and the new host is quite the sports fan it turns out.

Rob Gronkowski talks with UFC president Dana White

In his 2013 stand up special African American the South African comedian talks about the differences between sports in America and the rest of the world.

He also talks about the differences between South Africa's expectations for the Springbok national rugby team, and Bafana Bafana, the South African national soccer team.

Noah also tweets frequently about his love of soccer, recently discussing the Barcelona - Manchester City match earlier this month.

The prospective host also recently visited a youth soccer charity back in his home country, and spoke with coaches about the importance of sports in the lives of young people.

“Coming back to the townships as somebody that grew up here, as somebody that lived here, you realize that one of the most important things that we’re deprived of in South Africa growing up, was hope. And that’s what people get here at Grassroot Soccer. You’ve got young girls who come together and get a chance to be something greater than just their surroundings.”
