Cardale Jones scared Ohio State fans with fake transfer tweets
Cardale Jones gave Ohio State fans a major scare on Friday when he launched what he is calling a "May Fools" prank.
Since May Fools is definitely not a thing, fans saw his series of tweets in which he thanked Ohio State and seemingly announced a transfer to Akron as the real deal. They freaked out accordingly.
Jones's prank was well thought out, as it also saw the National Championship-winning quarterback change his twitter avatar and banner to the Akron Zips logo. Fortunately, he did not leave fans dangling too long as a little over five minutes after his first tweet he let everyone in on the prank.

Jones explained that he was just looking to spice up Twitter for fans on a lazy afternoon and then returned his homepage to a photo of him with the College Football Playoff trophy.
