U.S. women's national team gets 'Simpsonized'

The U.S. women's national soccer team is heading to Springfield before the start of the Women's World Cup, with Abby Wambach, Alex Morgan and Christen Press all getting "Simpsonized."

The U.S. women's national soccer team is heading to Springfield before the start of the Women's World Cup, with Abby Wambach, Alex Morgan and Christen Press all getting "Simpsonized."

The players recently showed off their animated counterparts in advance of the team's upcoming run of sendoff matches, with life size standup of the three players appearing at the team's May 10 contest against Ireland in San Jose.

In addition to the USWNT stars being transformed, the show has also released a clip of the show's famous "couch gag" which features Homer trying his hand at goalkeeping with predictably poor results.
